ALICE LLOYD HALL (Click link to access dorm tour) Students live in Alice Lloyd Hall, an impressive, red-brick residence hall located on the popular 'hill' section of central campus. With its tree-lined, large outdoor patio, and magnificent living rooms, it is one of Michigan's most beautiful residence halls. Rooms are mostly triples, with a limited number of singles and doubles. Each room features study desks, ample drawer and closet space, a window fan, and private telephones. The residence hall is co-ed by floor with separate bath and shower facilities for men and women. Outstanding in-house facilities include a thirty-station computer center with laser printers, television/DVD lounges, laundry rooms (lessons available), game room, Alice's Place Snack Bar, a fully equipped music room and SUMMER DISCOVERY program office open day and night. CURRICULUM SUMMER DISCOVERY AT MICHIGAN students enroll in 2 enrichment classes for each 3 week session they attend. Classes are 3 weeks in duration with the exception of a limited number of 6-week courses including Geometry, Drivers Education Architecture/Graphic Design and Princeton Review SAT preparation. However, 3 week students may take the Princeton Review math SAT or Princeton Review verbal SAT course (or both) and Architecture/Graphic Design. Classes generally meet Monday - Thursday mornings and early afternoons, for 1½ to 2 hours. Courses for college academic credit are not available at the SUMMER DISCOVERY AT MICHIGAN program.
