Description: Allegheny Riding Camp Allegheny Riding Camp is a girls’ residential summer program located at the historic Grier School in Central Pennsylvania. Campers receive 26 separate horseback riding lessons during a 3-week session, in addition to daily instruction in equine studies. Campers may also choose other activities such as art, swimming, dance, theatre, or tennis. Classes in English as a second language are available to our international campers. We feature dormitory housing, four riding paddocks, stables for up to 50 horses, air-conditioned dance studio, 25-yard pool, four tennis courts, and a beautiful mountain view. Riders of all abilities are welcome at Allegheny Riding Camp. Our show camper program is perfect for advanced riders aged 13 to 16. We also offer riding internships to qualified girls who are 17 years old. Our mother-daughter weekend is the perfect introduction to camp for young, campers, aged 6 to 9.
