Med-O-Lark located in Washington, Maine is about 3 hours from Boston in the mid-coast area near Camden. With 275 middle school girls and boys (ages 10 - 15), the program fits those who are non-competitive and interested in the arts. We have excellent theater and music programs as well as a strong dance program with four beautiful dance studios. There are also 15 studios for stained glass and mosaics, clay, fabrics, basketry, painting, metal jewelry, bead weaving, wax sculpting, woodworking, culinary arts, stone carving, etc. Med-O-Lark uses 4 ski boats in an extensive waterski program with much interest also in sea kayaking, windsurfing and crew/rowing. Equestrian arts, martial arts and fencing are important components of the instructional activities at camp. Med-O-Lark also has an intensive Spanish Language program.
