Each camp session is fun-filled days of acrobatics, juggling, aerials, tightwire, unicycling, stiltwalking, perch, spanish web, performance skills, dance, and more! Learn the ancient art of pie throwing, techniques for falling down, the science of silliness, new ways to fly...No experience is necessary, just a sincere desire to learn about circus and have lots of serious fun!

SAFETY FIRST is what makes it all possible: safety belts on cables for aerial practice; mats and knee pads; spotters; supervised practice; and a check-off system that lets students track their progress.

SUCCESS IS GUARANTEED: Each camper masters new skills and tricks at her/his own level. There is not competition with others in the circus--only cooperation and helping hands to do your personal best.

The atmosphere is unpressed; however, we encourage the setting of realistic goals and the reach for accomplishment. We emphasize the commitment required to pursue any art form, the teamwork essential to creating acts and a show, and the self-discipline needed to achieve goals. Our goal is to teach circus skills as part of a unique and meaningful life experience each camper will cherish.

CAMP STAFF: Our overall staff-to-camper ratio of 1:3 includes administrative staff, counselors, counselors-in-training, and coaches. All coaches are professional circus performers who are trained to work with children and adults, amateurs and professionals.

FACILITY: Circus Smirkus Summer Camp is held on the campus of Sterling College in Craftsbury Common, Vermont. Circus training takes place under our authentic big top tents.
