Description:
We offer innovative science programs for girls. These unique, overnight camps provide girls an opportunity to explore science, technology, and engineering while doing fun science experiments for kids on an actual college campus. Science Majors allow girls to choose an area of focus during some activities at camp. Each major will include several small labs and a significant culminating project. This year, girls will choose from: Astronomy (Water Rockets Project) Marine Science (Creative Creatures Project) Robotics (Robotics Challenge Project) Also, afternoons and evening enrichment activities give girls an opportunity for informal science learning, as well as leadership and problem-solving training, through workshops, experiments, guest speakers, and recreational activities. Students will also attend a mid-program excursion to a local science venue.
