Camp Season: 2006-06-18 to 2006-08-11 Sessions: Resident Camp Ages: 8-14 Fee: $290 Dates:June 18-23, July 2-7, July 9-14, July 16-21, July 23-28, July 30-Aug 4 Traditional camp activities including horseback riding, canoeing, swimming, archery, craft, climbing wall, nature exploration, and more. The Adventure Program offers two great options for youth ages 12-14. Adventurers focus on outdoor living skills. They learn about compass/orienteering, global positioning systems, and geo-caching. The Trekkers go on an off-site canoeing and rock climbing trip. Do NOT have to be in 4-H to attend. Day Camp Ages: 6-14 Fee:$200/session Dates: June 12-23, June 26-July 7, July 10-21, July 24-Aug 4, Aug 7-18 Day Camp is offerred Monday through Friday and consists of five 2-week sessions. Activities include swimming, horseback riding, archery, canoeing, fishing, environmental exploration, and more. 10-12 yr olds participate in High Ropes activities as well. Each session has a theme and corresponding field trip and optional overnight camp-out. 13-14 yr olds participate in a unique program that allows them to develop their leadership skills and be a mentor to younger campers. They will also enjoy a canoeing and rock climbing trip during their session. Cloverbud Ages: 6-8 Fee:$160 Date: July 16-19 Cloverbud is for campers and parents not yet ready for a full week of the camping experience. Campers enjoy all the traditional camp fun in a shorter session. Whitewater Adventure Ages:13-17 Fee:$390 Date: July 16-21 Participants will receive instruction on paddling techniques and basic water safety on the lake at Penn. The group will hone their skills canoeing down the Mayo River. The pinnacle of this trip will be a guided whitewater adventure, rafting the French Broad. Participants must be in good physical condition and have a basic level of swimming ability. Trekker Plus Ages 15-17 Fee: $300 Date: June 18-23 Participants will begin the week at Penn learning canoeing skills, water safety, climbing skills, rock site safety, and challenge themselves on the High Ropes course. The last part of the week, they will go off-site for a river canoe and rock climbing trip. The group will camp at Pilot Mountain State Park. Teen Adventures Ages 15-17 Fee: $290 Date: June 18-23 This program is for teens that have aged out of traditional camp opportunities but still love all the fun and excitment.
