Campers will enjoy a variety of special activities such as movies, bowling, ice-skating, game nights, talent shows, camp Olympics, dances, swim parties, and more.
Great Lakes Camps are located at Lake Forest College which has been describes as "picture-perfect"--nestled just minutes from Lake Michigan on Chicago's North Shore. This prestigious private liberal arts institution is only 30 miles from downtown Chicago.
You'll have full use of the classroom buildings, creative & fine arts studios, the library and the dining hall. Sports facilities include 4 tennis courts, basketball courts, an Olympic-size indoor pool and a gymnasium. Golfers will play on courses and driving ranges within a convenient distance from the college. Dance will take place at nearby Lake Forest Academy. Last year, more people applied than we can accommodate. This is because we intentionally maintain a low camper-to-instructor ratio, and room is limited.
