Description:

The Baseball Academy at IMG Academies is located in Bradenton, Florida, and attracts players from around the world who want to experience a professional training environment.  All the coaches at the Baseball Academy have professional playing, scouting and coaching experience and they are prepared to pass their knowledge on to you in a fun, exciting manner.

Our weekly junior summer camp programs run Sunday through Saturday, June through August and include instruction in the following areas:

·        Throwing mechanics

·        Base running mechanics and strategy

·        Pitching

·        Hitting mechanics

·        Situational games

Program Features include:

• IMG Academies Mental Conditioning Sessions

• Physical training at International Performance Institute (IPI)
• Trips to Disney World, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens and much more are scheduled on some weekends.

Facilities:

• Two professional caliber fields, three diamonds, eight batting cages and four mound bullpens.
• On-site administration building with video rooms           
• IPI Training Center with a 30,000 square foot artificial turf dome
• Multi-sport pro shop
• Dormitory housing (three bedroom/two bathroom units)
• Junior cafeteria
• Junior swimming pool
• Computer Learning Center

The Baseball Academy is just one of six training programs hosted on the IMG Academies’ campus.  Other training programs are the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (NBTA), The David Leadbetter Golf Academy (DLGA), The IMG Soccer Academy, The Basketball Academy and the International Performance Institute (IPI).
